An excellent restaurant - last summer we came across the Free State for the first time on a day trip there. A nice quiet location, nice, cozy terrace. The kitchen for local connoisseurs who are looking for an individual touch is really great. The menu is a bit smaller, but all the finer. You can tell that the owner values ​​high-quality, local products. For us again a MUST in the coming spring / summer - the Free State is a MUST for every Eifel vacationer, day tourist or local resident.

The "Free State of Eifel" is always worth a meal. The dishes are prepared with a lot of passion and therefore taste great. The staff is always friendly and courteous.

We were here for the first time today and certainly not the last time. Small but fine menu (you don't need more!), Top quality with regional ingredients, finally a meal here in the Eifel that wasn't drowned in sauce! (Unfortunately we experience far too often in other such highly praised restaurants) A pleasure in terms of taste. Very friendly and fast service. Above all, a cozy atmosphere and a very nice ambience. Great importance is attached to the fact that the guest feels comfortable. We'll be back, even if we have to drive an hour, but it's worth it, you won't be disappointed. This is the right place for anyone who values ​​proper home-style cooking. No boring and simply prepared dishes. It's been a long time since eaten so well in Germany.

Cozy little and very good restaurant. Small exquisite card. Meat, ingredients and also the beer come from the region as far as possible. As soon as I can judge based on my visit, everything is of high quality and very tasty. The restaurant is not too big the chef cooks alone. So make a reservation and bring some time with you. I found it very pleasant to eat again in a restaurant where you are not processed in a timed manner and where there is some time for a conversation between courses.

The dishes prepared without SchnickiSchnacki delicious. Everything homemade and without additives. In short: it was delicious and a great evening. We will be back :-)

Cozy location, good regional cuisine with 3 or 4 dishes. Rather more expensive in terms of price, but okay in terms of quality. We were in transit and had received this restaurant as a tip from our landlord.

Individual, small restaurant with a clear, regional menu. Friendly and competent service who thinks for you. You have to allow for a little waiting time for meals, but that's not possible due to the mini kitchen. And it's worth the wait!

We were a guest in the Free State yesterday for the second time. But that is only due to the journey of 2 hours. It is definitely worth driving this route. From the host to the service and furnishings, everything is just right here. The small card has something for every taste and the price / performance ratio is more than adequate. The dishes made from regional Eifel ingredients are not only unusually arranged but also simply incredibly delicious. We will definitely be happy to come back.

Finally a restaurant in the Eifel where there is also traditional and regional cuisine. People like to go there again.

Very friendly service. Food is prepared with all sources out of the same region. Therefore the food is excellent. And if you gonna have some wine, you defenetly need to try their riesling. It's fantastic

We stopped by here for a lunch on our way home from holidays. Its a cosy small place that serves food that pleases one's palate ! Portions are perfect, friendly staff and a very cosy atmosphere. The whole experience gave a homely feeling. We will definitely stop by again if we pass by there....
